IKEA’s new idea for stand-alone restaurant
Home furnishing company IKEA considers taking a further step to open up stand-alone restaurants for its hungry customers. Lacrucci would like to see it happen in Hong Kong as its meatballs and hot dogs are one of our favorites during snack time.
The news comes from Fast Company.com
“We’ve always called the meatballs ‘the best sofa-seller,'” Gerd Diewald, who runs food operations in U.S.-based Ikeas, “Because it’s hard to do business with hungry customers.”
The company has also updated Ikea eateries throughout the U.S., with new zones in the restaurants that accommodate families and new menu items, like chicken and vegan Swedish meatballs.
The IKEA store in Causeway Bay is a popular fast food stop-by, we find many tourists, passer-by have a bite of hot dogs, or ice-cream cones during weekend.
